Don't Over-Dramatize Your Eyebrows!

A new trend I see popping up all over facebook and instagram are these super thick, super dramatic eyebrows, and it has to stop! Yes, eyebrows are a big part of your look, but you don't need to over-do it. I'm going to show you how I do my subtle, yet still sophisticated eyebrow.

I have naturally weird eyebrows. They grow in splotchy, and they're a weird shape. I bought an NYC dark brown eyebrow pencil, and now no one has to know how weird my eyebrows are.

They start out looking like this.

When you're filling in your eyebrows, you have 3 essential points to focus on. 

#1 - Inner

#2 - Highest point of arch

#3 - And, last but not least, outer. 

You want all these points to come together in a smooth line. Drawing dots at these points may help, so you know where to start, continue, and stop. You always want to make sure you fill in these points, because they're what make a distinguished eyebrow. You want the brow to start out thicker, but not too thick, then become thinner, but not too thin. Keep a consistent line at the top of your brow, it should be straight, and not slope down. Fill in your brow with these points in mind. Almost like connect the dots. Hehe.

After filling it in, it may be too dark, like this. You always want to put the pencil on your brow lightly, because it will be very dark if you put force on it. 

Dark, thick eyebrows bring masculinity to the face, and I don't think any girl wants to look masculine. I blot my eyebrows with a piece of toilet paper, taking a lot of the darkness and sharpness out. I also usually put a white/cream colored powder/eyeshadow directly under my eyebrow, to help lift and highlight, but got a little too lazy tonight because it's 10pm hehe. 

Wow, what a neat eyebrow, not too thick and not overpowering and you can't even tell that I have dumb splotchy eyebrows :-)

Extremely Easy MakeUp for Brown Eyes

I love my brown eyes, and this look really highlights them. I wear this one nearly every day that I put on makeup because it's so easy and so casual.

I start with a primer, I use e.l.f. eyelid primer, it's only $1 on their website. Works well for the price.

Then, I use a light creamy beige shadow, I don't know the brand, I just bought this crappy palette for a few bucks at Walgreens, any light beige color will work. I add it to the inner corners to about half of my eyelid, blending it all the way up towards my brow.

Next, I blended two colors, a gold color and a golden brown color, and applied it to the outer corners and blending it up like so.

Then, I just curled my lashes, lined the upper waterline with eyeliner, and put on mascara. Too simple.

Maybelline DreamFresh BB Cream

I was shopping around at WalMart, when I saw a big display for what seemed like an overpriced bad decision. It was Maybelline's DreamFresh BB Cream. I picked up the little tube of deception and read it. "8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector". I've tried many liquid foundations and moisturizers and always ended up disappointed, this this is a Beauty Balm, and a so-called "Skin Perfector". The price was around $7, so I figured I'd just try it, what the hell. The next day after my shower, I applied the BB cream, and immediately noticed how nice and fresh my skin felt, and how small my pores looked, which was a big thing for me because I've always struggled with large pores. I immediately fell in love with this product.

Okay, so I've been reading other online reviews, and some people said it smelled horrible, but I didn't notice an odor at all. There were also complaints about how it doesn't conceal or cover, but this product isn't made to cover up blemishes, it's called a Beauty Balm and a Skin Perfector. It's a light moisturizing cream, don't expect it to cover pimples or red spots. It's a thin, watery consistency so it applies easily and only a little bit is needed. I have dry and oily skin, and this product works perfectly for me. 

In conclusion, I definitely recommend this product for people with dry/oily combo skin, and regular dry skin. It really is a skin perfector, and I've never been so happy with my complexion. 

I used the cream about 30 minutes before I took this picture, and I used the light/medium shade. 

The pore size is (sadly) a significant change, the cream made my pores appear much smaller.

I couldn't come up with a good name for this blog, so all credit for the name goes to my wonderful, witty man, Cody. I figured I'd start this off with my first post being an introduction. My name is Sarah, I'm young and inspired. I moved up to this little town in Wisconsin in August of 2012, and there's not much to do around here, so why not start a blog? I've spent most of my life in Jacksonville, Florida and plan to return in late May of this year. I'm in a long distance relationship, we've been together for almost two years now, and I can't wait to go back to him. I like to play around with my hair and makeup, but I'm sure you could tell, because why would I start a beauty blog if I didn't know anything about it, hehe. I started this blog mainly to review products that I've used, to help you guys figure it all out.
